Ms. Sunshine is a Clinical Social Worker who has counseled individuals and couples for over 20 years in South Florida, New York and South America. Prior to completing her Masters in Clinical Social Work at Adelphi University in New York, she earned a degree in Clinical Psychology from La Universidad Catolica in Lima, Peru, her hometown.
Fluent in English and Spanish, Ms. Sunshine is an expert therapist on depression and anxiety, couples therapy, communication issues, parenting skills and life transitions.
Ms. Sunshine is Certified in Clinical Hypnosis, a technique she uses to help patients with anxiety, fears and phobias, pain management and to better manage stress amongst other issues.
Janet is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis, Associate Member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy and The Peruvian Psychological Association.
She writes for a monthly syndication that covers topics dealing with all aspects of Psychology.
